Night 2026, organized by ZONE Offices in partnership with SHIPZY,
for a night of candid conversations on how companies can adapt, collaborate,
and keep moving in a fast-changing market.
Held under the theme “How
Startup Founders Can Lead in a Fast-Changing Market,” the event brought
together speakers and guests for frank discussions on leadership,
entrepreneurship, technology, and the very real challenges that come with
running and growing a company.
Among the speakers were Miguel
Lopez, Co-founder of The Catalyst Group; Kris Villongco, General Manager of
Cue; David Bonifacio, Managing Partner of TNB Aura; Bastien Gerber, Founder of
ERAS; Edgar Bundalian, CEO of Goodman Tech Solutions Inc.; and Rain Ibajo, CEO
of SHIPZY PH.
For Rain, the conversation kept
circling back to something many businesses only think about after the sale is
already done: distribution.
Logistics Is More Than Moving Goods
Sales may bring in customers, but
getting a product to them — reliably, and on time — through effective
distribution is just as important.
“Everyone thinks that sales
is the most important part, and of course, it is. But distribution is also one
of the most important parts of doing business,” Rain shared during
the discussion.
She pointed out that logistics is
often viewed simply as transportation. In reality, a lot happens before a
product reaches its destination, from storing inventory and preparing orders to
arranging transportation and making sure deliveries arrive as expected.
“Logistics is no longer
just transportation,” she said.
That gap is exactly where SHIPZY sees its opportunity — to make logistics
easier to coordinate.
The company brings together
warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, delivery, and technology through one

through a single partner. The aim is to make the process easier to coordinate

Technology and artificial
intelligence also took center stage, particularly around how businesses can
make better use of the tools already within reach.
“The similarity between AI
and people is that we both rely on data. What is expensive is having a tool and
not realizing how powerful it can be,” Rain shared.
For SHIPZY, that means putting
technology where it genuinely helps people work better — not adopting tools
simply for the sake of having them.
The company uses technology
across areas such as warehouse management, order management, business account
management, and logistics coordination. It is also exploring AI to streamline
internal workflows and make operations more efficient.
Why These Conversations Matter
One of the most striking parts of
Founders
Night 2026 was the mix of people in the room.
The audience included
representatives from financial institutions and banks, OOH and creative
advertising, NGOs, sports organizations, logistics, technology, and other
sectors. Different industries, but strikingly similar challenges: how to adapt,
where to find the right partners, how to use new tools, and how to keep
operations moving as the market changes.
Rooms like this matter because
they bring together perspectives that do not usually meet in the same place. A
logistics company can learn from an advertising professional. A startup can
hear how another business approached a challenge. An organization can meet a
potential partner simply through a conversation after a session.
Not everything has to be built
from scratch. The right partners can provide access to expertise, resources,
networks, or capabilities that move a business forward without it having to
